I wore a black dress, not unlike this one (except with more of a sweetheart neckline) and black pumps. My honey, who I was able to drag along, (with the promise of good food & free liquor, of course) wore a cute chocolate brown sweater atop a creamy/gold shirt with the same cream/gold colored tie. He screams that hes "not that into fashion" yet owns an Yves Saint Laurent tie? *rolls eyes* I think hes a secret label-*****. MMMMMHMMMM. Busted.
The party was quite nice. Plenty of the same faces from work except they were actually well-dressed! No offense, but when you see the SAME people with the SAME clothes in circulation every week, anyone would be taken aback to see them nearly unrecognizeable in a nice outfit. I saw a couple of pretty dresses and really nice suits but then I was traumatized by one of a my biggest fashion peeves, The Holiday Sweater. GAHHHHHHHH! Why do people insist on wearing sweaters such as:

This "trend" should remain in the trash with white pantyhose after the age of 10 and chunky platform shoes at the office! I don't get it. People cannot possibly think that they look at all like a serious adult in these getups. I mean, most of these people and I mean MOST have the potential to look really great. Its truly infuriating. Ughhh. Only children under the age of 6 and some pets should wear a sweater with a big embroidered Santa on the front of it. No no no, I retract that statement because my nieces and nephews don't seem to own any of these scary things. *shakes head*
